We also were allowed to stay about ten days at the campsite of Mr. Adriaans. He has only been the owner since last year and he is making a tremendous effort to make something beautiful of it. Friendly, helpful and you can tell he's enthusiastic about it! The campsite itself has a beautiful location.
Rolling hills, trees and also open spaces. The toilets are old but nothing is broken and they are cleaned several times a day. For the plans that Mr. Adriaans still has, I would like to say: " Viel erfolg "." Sie kriegen das schon hin" !

The camping pitches are generously sized.
Everything that Johan, the owner, writes on the homepage is no exaggeration.

A beautiful terrace camping with different fields where you can choose your own spot.
The grounds are very well maintained and there are both sunny and shaded pitches.
The sanitary facilities are somewhat outdated, but spotlessly clean and that's what matters most.
We were here a few years ago too and found it such a beautiful and peaceful campsite back then.
Now there's a new owner, a very friendly man who is very helpful and does everything to make you feel at home.
Walking our boxer was also great because you can walk straight into nature.
An ideal campsite for nature lovers, and yet you're so close to the shops.

We'll definitely be coming back.

What a lovely and peaceful campsite it is. Stayed in the only apartment, a wonderful stay. Such a beautiful area for walking and certainly for cycling. The new owner Johan did everything to make us feel welcome. We will definitely come back again

We stayed 5 nights at the campsite right during the period when the campsite changed hands.
We enjoyed our stay and the new owners are also good hosts.
The toilet buildings were clean but could use a refresh, which they are planning to do, and the wifi will also be improved.
I wish the new owners much success and I'm sure they'll do well with such a beautiful campsite.

Just a new owner who is doing everything to make everyone feel at home.
Sanitary facilities are outdated but clean.
We stayed here for 4 nights and took several lovely walks.
The surrounding villages are very charming and worth visiting.

Beautiful terraced campsite in the middle of nature! We stayed here for 6 nights and enjoyed it very much. From the campsite you can walk straight into the forest and that's ideal with 2 dogs. We had a spot under the trees but there are also beautiful spots in the sun. There are no busy roads nearby so it can be wonderfully quiet.

We met both the previous and new owner and both are exceptionally hospitable and friendly.

We wish the new owner much success with this beautiful campsite and look forward to seeing you again!

Fantastic campsite! Just a new owner who manages the campsite. This man immediately understood within 1 week of work what customer and service orientation means! He has a real knack for it. He wasn't difficult when visitors came by and radiated tremendous enthusiasm. Hats off! Beautiful location of the campsite with gorgeous walking areas, cities nearby such as the beautiful Celle and also culture with the impressive Bergen-Belsen. In short, Camping Sonnenberg is a PLACE TO BE!

This is what a campsite should be like. Spacious pitches, excellent owners and wonderfully situated in nature with plenty of peace and quiet. From the moment you arrive you feel right at home. The bread service is also perfect. The facilities aren't the most modern but are kept spotlessly clean. Really nothing to fault at this campsite. We had a wonderful time! Mariëlle and husband, thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay.

Beautiful campsite, great location, excellent facilities, friendly managers.
That said, one point of criticism: when we asked if the brochure was also available in Dutch, we were told we were in Germany.
That wasn't a good answer for me.
It should be a small effort to provide that, with about 90% Dutch guests at the campsite.
It would be more customer-friendly.
Had to double-check to make sure it was correct?
Have to pay 2.50 euros for cultural tax.
Otherwise, a great campsite to stay at.

In the summer of 2024, we stayed at this wonderfully peaceful campsite for 3 weeks. Beautiful large pitches. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The managers are very friendly.
We had a great time and will definitely come back.

Plenty of walking and cycling opportunities.
Fantastic place for your pet.
We particularly appreciated the charming aspect of being able to choose your own spot.

Lovely campsite with very friendly owners. Great pressure in the showers. Nice little bar onsite. Choose your own pitches on different levels within the trees. Would recommend visit to Celle. I would definitely recommend a stay at this site!

Last week we were here for a few days. What a beautiful camping site with very friendly and helpful managers. You can approach them with any questions. The facilities are also extremely clean. I would love to go back immediately, and that says enough about this camping site and its location in this beautiful area. Highly recommended.
